 SMAC Moving Coil Actuators(SMAC移动式线圈致动器)

 implifies disc drive assembly system - replacing three devices with one linear rotary actuator.

简化系统 : 使用一台的线性旋转致动器,取代原来3台的设备.    

The use of the SMAC linear rotary actuator for a screwdriver has expanded to disc drive assembly. 

Typical screw sizes are M2 & M3 using STAR socket heads.  A common method is the use of an electric, brushless rotary only screwdriver, then attaching this to a high precision pneumatic slide. 

Electronic screwdrivers can be programmed with a maximum torque level, monitor torque and use of a Hall Effect sensor for rotary rpm.

使用SMAC的致动器当作螺丝起子一般的来扩大组装硬盘. 一般螺丝的型状为星形的凹头尺寸为M2 以及M3.常见的方法是将电动的无刷旋转螺丝起子附着在高精准气动滑动件上.电动的螺丝起子程序设定为最大级数的扭矩,随时确认扭矩以及使用Hall Effect 的感应器来查看旋转转速..

There are problems with this method. The linear movement is a 3 position one. First a move to pick up the part, then the actual move to feed the screw. Hence 2 pneumatic slides are needed. Mechanical set up of stops must be made. Variable force control is required both when picking up the screw and especially when contacting the thread and then pressing during the driving process. Another individual component, a programmable pressure/flow valve, is needed, and an electric rotary driver is required. So a hybrid electro/pneumatic system with 4 separate components and a lot of cross communication and mechanical set-up is required.

这个量测方法有一些问题.线性的移动有3个位置阶段. 第一阶段是移动取对象,之后移动进料螺丝.因此需要两个气动滑块,机器运转中途必须中止无法连贯,此外当取螺丝以及接触螺纹接着施压推力等等的控制力量数值都不同. 另一个零件需要程序化力量进而可随时调整力量,同时需要电动旋转驱动. 客户需要的是电动或气动混合的系统设备该设备可以将4个对象分开进行.

A number of important quality checks cannot be made, most particularly accurate check that the screw has been driven to the correct height and that the torque out is correct.

The cost of such a system is around $10,000. SMAC offers an integrated linear rotary actuator that overcomes the above problems and offers additional benefits all at a cost of less than $5,000.

但即使如此,还是无法进行一些重要的质量检测特别是像精准的量测螺丝高度以及扭拒等等.整套设备算起来约美金1万元但SMAC提供的致动器结合了线性以及旋转且能克服过去检测的问题且费用总计低于5千美金.

SMAC linear rotary actuators are programmable in variable positions and speeds that including SMAC’s patented Soft-Land feature that allows for accurate pick-up of fragile components as well as a soft contact onto the thread. Continuous real time track of the screw position to verify success or failure of operation, and monitoring of torque including final torque out. SMAC linear rotary actuators speed up operation due to programmable accelerations, and have ability to feedback the quality checks so that each operation can be quantitatively verified. These actuators can be easily programmed to adjust as a single component.
